Inspiration : Intrigued by the Moon’s transformative and feminine power—a crescent moon has two phases; waxing and waning. The Waxing Crescent, often accompanied by twilight hues, symbolizes growth and potential. It represents a time of optimism as it builds momentum toward the full moon phase. While the silver sliver of a Waning Crescent offers us a time for introspection, reflection, and preparation for new beginnings.
About the piece : We delicately tailored a bustier and quilted it by hand. Each panel is cut with extreme detail, contouring along the body and elegantly accentuating a woman’s curves. It is cropped just below the bust and has a zipper at the back for ease. The bustier features subtle yet sexy slits at the top and provides comfort and support all day or night. Pair this with our Crescent Spell (semi-sheer pant) to complete the look. Or wear it with a pair of high-waisted pants or pleated trousers; throw it over a fitted skirt or your favorite jeans; pair it with pajama pants and a trenchcoat.
The fabric is our breathable Yoganomic Modal, lined on the inside with our soft Cloud Cotton. It is the perfect balance between pleasure and practicality. It has a knack of flattering the female figure. It is super versatile and flexible just like a yoga pose.

We have been very careful not to cross the 4% limit of elastane / polyester in the blend—ensuring that it will at least still de-compose on its own, while keeping micro-plastics to a minimum. Our Adult Swaddle is double-sided; the first layer is Aeromul (100% cotton), and the second layer is Naked Slub (a blend of polyester and viscose). It is never meant to be discarded. It is easy to mend, dry-clean only and will last you forever if you take care of it. Keep in mind it ages like wine and is to be cherished and passed on like an heirloom.

This inbred lattice technique is made in our soft Cloud Cotton, a 100% cotton knit with the hand-feel of your favorite t-shirt. We cut up t-shirt fabric and created individual rope that we then wove together, by stitching one strip at a time on top of the next. This is an elaborate process—a sculptural take on embroidery.
As one of the most intricate techniques in the Obataimu family, we urge you to treat it with care.
STEAM CLEAN ONLY :
1. It’s best to do this yourself at home with a professional home steamer or pocket steamer if you are traveling.
2. If you do take it to a dry-cleaner, let them clearly know this piece CANNOT BE DRY-CLEANED but only steam-cleaned.

We want to switch gears from the one-click shopping culture to more thoughtful consumption, keeping air pollution from e-commerce in consideration too. While the shipping industry is essential to the world’s economy and well-being, we are aware of its contributing factors on the global greenhouse gas emissions that are released into our atmosphere. Every year, the shipping industry is responsible for approximately 2.89% of CO2 gases emitted globally. This may seem low to you now, but by the year 2050, it is said to increase up to 130% (4th IMO GHG study, 2018). We are trying to work with you to help the global fashion model find a new way.

If you must hand-wash; start by filling the container with cold water. Add just a pinch of non-toxic / acid and phosphate free laundry powder, and dip the piece in for a maximum of 5 minutes. Do not twist and squeeze on removal, instead lay it flat on the rack to dry. Never put the piece in a dryer or leave it out in the sun to dry.
You can steam or flat iron this piece with no difficulty. It’s not super prone to wrinkling but that doesn’t mean it’s wrinkle-free. The best way to travel with Obataimu is with a pocket steamer. Once you invest in one, you will never travel without it.
Do not machine wash this piece.
If you prefer to leave it to the professionals, just give it to the dry-cleaners and it will come back perfectly.

We cut up t-shirt fabric and created individual rope that we then wove together, by stitching one strip at a time on top of the next. This is an elaborate process—a sculptural take on embroidery.
