the weather it’s in your head
This parka is constructed to be an oversized throw-over, with two big pockets that can hold anything light, from a credit card to rolling tobacco, to fallen gooseberries in the forest. It is inspired by a 1950s Japanese lab uniform that we found in Tokyo many years ago. We kept some of its functionality. For instance, it has an inner and outer drawstring for you to tug at, giving you so many different ways to reinvent it. It has baggy sleeves with an elasticated cuff that grips your wrist, and a hood that can be adjusted with another drawstring. Crafted in colors that resonate with the environment, it is the ideal statement for every mood. If you’re someone who likes to wear all-black but want to give your look a twist, pick it in a pop color.
The fabric is our Versatile Khadi. It is traditionally hand-spun on a wheel, reminiscent of days during our Independence. The typical hand-feel of khadi is stiff with a bit of starch. However, ours is more unconventional because of the way we treat it. Malleable in nature, it falls more like a heavy linen. It absorbs color like a paper napkin and adapts to every mood.
Each piece is specially hand-dyed, receives an enzyme-wash, and then is cut and made by one tailor—just for you. Our clothes are a little bit complicated to care for like a lover. But, if you treat them well they will reward you in many ways.

Keep in mind that hand-dyeing is a human process, so there will be a 5-10% variation between what you see on the screen and what you receive.
