float the day away
This shirt can ferry you through changing seasons—being light and airy for the summer, yet a perfectly cozy layer for the winter. It looks good worn tucked in or out. A staple for work, dinner parties, as resort wear, or for picnics in the park. It features two square pockets for a pleasing bit of symmetry, and pre-rolled cuffs that can be rolled up further to give you a neat, wholesome fold. We use a very specific Japanese technique called double-layering (which is like making two shirts in one!). Even though it is double the work, it renders the stitches invisible, resulting in a beautifully crafted button-down with more versatility than one would imagine. It is made in a soft and breathable muslin, and mimics the feeling of being wrapped in a cloud.
Termites build their mounds using an extremely sophisticated understanding of ventilation that baffles scientists. Their mounds stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter. We gave this brief to our textile innovator, who then played with the openings and closings in the weave of a classic Madras mul-mul with a steam treatment, resulting in the softest fabric—our Aeromul!
Each piece is specially hand-dyed, receives an enzyme-wash, and then is cut and made by one tailor—just for you. Our clothes are a little bit complicated to care for like a lover. But, if you treat them well they will reward you in many ways.

Keep in mind that hand-dyeing is a human process, so there will be a 5-10% variation between what you see on the screen and what you receive.
